We Have Kittens! Be Sure to Visit our Kittens Page!

 Ohana means family in Hawaiian.  We chose this name for our cattery because it is from our heritage and it was perfect because raising Bengals at Ohana is a family affair ~ every one pitches in and helps out. 

Our cattery is a TICA registered, small in-home cattery.  We operate according tp the TICA Code of Ethics.  We have had trouble finding a Vet in our area to perform the TICA Voluntary Breeder Program ~ Cattery Evaluation, but continue to search and hope to have an official 'Outstanding' rating to report shortly.  The birthing nursery is in my office and the growing nurseries are in our bedrooms.  The kitten play area is in the living room where the kittens are put into a holding pen and slowly introduced to the family at Mom's discretion until eventually it is safe for them to roam the 1st floor family area freely.  Everything is done slowly and with the kittens' health and safety in mind at all times.  The boys have their own 'bachelor pad' a stone's throw from the family house.  When the weather is nice and we are fortunate enough to be able to be outside, Makua and Matsu are right off of the deck in their habitats so they are very much included in all activities.  When it is not so nice, quite often a family member can be found sitting outside in the cat house for quiet time and a nice visit.  It is a nice change of pace from the hectic world outside. 

The kittens are raised in the house under foot where they learn their manners at an early age from Mom and their humans.  We hope you will enjoy your visit with us and would love to introduce you to the wonderful world of the bengal cat.
